No, you can not become a citizen of the United States through this program because this program is not a law or a decree.
This program is an executive order on how to process this type of immigration cases.

The Deferred Action program today

With the government of President Donald Trump, immigration issues have been the order of the day.
Currently the Deferred Action program has been suspended since September 5, 2017, so they are not receiving new applications.
However, people who already participate in this program, commonly called Dreamers, can renew their work permit if it expires before March 5, 2018, provided they have requested the renewal before October 05, 2017.
If your work permit expires after March 5, 2018 it will not be renewed, leaving you exposed to deportation.

What will happen then with the Dreamers?

The people who benefit from this program are called dreamers, who are currently waiting for what will happen to them.

Conclusion about DACA and the Dreamers

This is a controversial issue since it depends on where you look at the story.
The dreamers have made their lives “legally” in the United States and only know life in this country; They have their children born here, so if they are deported they would leave if nothing.
But, just as there are good dreamers, there are also the bad dreamers, who took advantage of this benefit to be legally without contributing in any positive or productive way to the American society.
